After three years and much anticipation, we are finally getting married. Many of you may have no idea who we are and that's perfectly understandable given our richly diverse and generally private social circles. In any event, for those who do know us in one capacity or the other, we'd like to notify you of this joyous occasion.

Mooshka is 35 (1975) years old and works at a public library.
Merticus is 32 (1978) years old and wears many hats.
We
officially met on June 10, 2006 at a club event set up through a mutual
social networking group. We'd seen each other a several times at
prior gatherings, but weren't formally introduced and didn't speak to
each other at those events.
Several days after meeting, Merticus
contacted Mooshka to set up a lunch date. After going to lunch
only once, we ended up dating other people for the span of several months and
didn't go out again. In December 2006, we started dating after seeing each
other at another Meetup event. We dated casually until April 12, 2007
when we decided to officially declare ourselves a couple.
You were
probably expecting an elaborate fairy tale story, weren't you? As often happens in life,
this was not such a fairy tale, but more like a series of comic blunders!
Sometimes things turn out very different than how they began.
As a couple we've been almost inseparable, so it turned out very well after all!

We are getting married in a small private civil ceremony and hosting our wedding reception in a local park. We have already postal mailed invitations to those we have addresses for who reside in our general geographic area and have no expectation for those who live far away or those we don't know well to attend. For those who received these invitations please follow the RSVP instructions listed on the enclosed insert no later than April 1, 2010.

At this stage in our lives we have already acquired most of the typical items one would need to start a life together. In fact, we have recently combined many of Merticus' antique furnishings with Mooshka's home decor and now realize we need a larger home! Since many of you have inquired; Merticus is a Starbucks addict and Mooshka is a culinary aficionado.
